Golden Image Award
About the Founder
The Golden Image Award (GIA) was held on July 16, 2015 with President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf receiving the Regional Legendary Leadership Award from traditional Chiefs from Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.
The President was honored for her role played in the fight against Ebola Virus Disease in West Africa.
Twenty six other awards were given at the County, National and International levels for services towards Humanity.
The Golden Image Award which is about Oneness, Peace and Humanity tied in with Liberia's 168th Independence Celebration.
According to the Organizer and Founder of the event, Ambassador Juli Endee, who is also the traditional Queen of the Liberia said; this year's Golden Image Award focused on Humanity and Health with emphasis on individuals, institutions and Countries that contributed in making Liberia Ebola free.
Ambassador Juli Endee said there are several historical meaning and composition of the award medal.
She said the Globe symbolizes Liberia as part of the global village; the Lady with traditional head attired, portrays the role women play in the development of any country. She also explained how the map of Liberia; shows that Liberia as a nation will be prosperous and the unity symbol depicts peace within the world.
Ambassador Endee added that the top, middle and bottom composition of the Golden Image Award comprises an 18 karat Liberian Gold with designs by Liberian artists including a dark rich Liberian wood from the Liberian forest.

The 2015 Golden Image Award was colorful and well attended with people from all sectors of the society. Presenters of the awards were Ambassador Zhang Yue, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, Dr. Bernice Dahn, Minister of Health, Liberia; Ambassador George Weah, Senator Montserrado County and a proxy for US Ambassador Deborah Malac.
Hon. Munah Pelham-YoungBlood, Representative District # 9; Montserrado County was also among this year's presenters.
This is the fifth Edition of the Golden Image Award since it started in 2011.
